A Late Summer Summary

I feel like I can best summarize my late summer and into autumn with just some pictures of my favorite adventure pooch. Codibob!

Anytime we start grabbing backpacks and hiking shoes Codi knows something is up and he starts getting pumped for the adventure ahead.

Codi is very particular about the order in which we hike. It is me, then him and then Mia. Like we’re escorting a VIP into the woods.

Codi has always preferred the cooler temps

Codi is no longer able to hike the longer days of 10+ miles. At his age he is happy with 3-5 miles. So as long as he can keep doing it, we will keep taking him into the woods.

The three of us spent nine days up in the Methow Valley recently and we’d hike with Codi one day and then go biking or do a harder hike the next day while he rested at the rental house. Then we drove the Fruit Loop out of Hood River the other weekend to enjoy the fall produce by stopping at various orchards. Then just this past weekend another trip to Suttle Lake for one (?) more fall camping trip.

Thanks for reading,

-Pete
