I had my second Pfizer vaccine this past Thursday morning. I was fairly ecstatic to have this done and out of the way. My informal querying of friends and coworkers seemed to indicate I would probably get some side effect(s). The big question was what and when.
By 8pm on Thursday night I started to develop chills and a whole head to toe body ache that was just miserable. I couldn’t stop shivering and went to bed with an extra heavy blanket on top of me and full fleece PJ bottoms, a techwick top and fleece top over that.
Needless to say I slept like garbage. I’m pretty in tune with my sleep stats and Mia and I have a Sleep Number bed that tracks some useful information.
I normally remote into work on Fridays. I couldn’t even bring myself to logon. There was no way I was going to be able to focus. Instead I spent the day hanging with Codi and half watching TV while laying on the couch.
By late morning the chills were going away but the body ache, while diminished, was ever present.
My sleep from Friday night into Saturday was better. Especially HR and HRV. Respiration was still high but down from the previous night. I felt better on Saturday too. Maybe 80% better. Had no motivation for much else though. We went grocery shopping and that was about it.
By Sunday I was much better. Went on an easy paced 40 mile ride that did wonders for my mental health/attitude.
Breakfast for dinner
I LOVE breakfast foods. It is probably my favorite meal of the day. Oatmeal, cereal, eggs, pancakes, yogurt, coffee(!!!). It’s got to be the best meal. So why restrict it to just the morning?
I made the White Lily 3 ingredient biscuits for Saturday night’s dinner. We added eggs, cheese and bacon. Perfect!
