Finally got around to mountain biking the 13 mile loop around Hagg lake today. It was a mix of leaves, pine needles, with frozen and soft ground. Anything that was in direct sunlight was super slick/tacky mud for like the top 1/4″ or so and it packed up wicked bad on the back wheel. I had to stop twice to use a stick to clear out the mud, leaves and pine needles just so the wheel would move.
Maybe I should have ridden on the road? Going to take awhile to clean this guy up.
All in all though, the loop isn’t too bad. 1200′ of elevation and just enough twists and turn to keep it interesting. I’ll be back (when it’s a little less tacky)
Thanks for reading,
