I’m not even close to being the photographer I’d like to be. I don’t do post picture processing, I don’t “stage” shots all that often. I prefer to get the real shot in real time of something real happening. My usual approach in the digital camera age is to take a boat load of pics and at least 1 or 2 of them should come out decent enough.
My favorite shot of 2016 is a simple picture of Codi swimming in Paulina Lake during the 4th of July weekend. There are some great memories associated with that weekend which helps a lot.

I’d love to spend some time to get better at editing and such, but for now I enjoy what I can get. Take 1,600 shots or more a year and one of them is bound to make you happy.
