Yup, it’s been a mild winter, and even though we had some snow a little over a week ago, I really think Spring has sprung or at the very least it is springing. This week was a prime example. Two days of 60 degree weather, the governor kicking off maple syrup season, and now today we turn the clocks forward.
Thursday Freestyle and I took the afternoon off from our respective jobs and we did a nice 3 hour bike ride. The wind was pretty strong, so we stuck to doing a lot of rolling climbs, but it sure beat the heck out of sitting at my desk all afternoon.

The temps were in the mid 60’s and the sun was shining. Some of the more shaded sections of road were still pretty chilly, but all in all this was a great way to spend an afternoon.

I woke up to snow showers and clouds. Today was the annual NHTI Spring Ahead 3 Miler. It’s a local event to raise money for the NHTI XC running team. It’s tax deductible too! I had been hoping for slightly warmer weather, but today was the oddball day of this Spring like week.
I wasn’t sure how well I would do, I’ve only been running once a week since the half marathon in January. I guess I did okay though, ran a 20:25 and placed 3rd in my age group. Not too bad for some one who thinks of themselves as the “fast end of the slow guys”.

Now hopefully a nice long road ride on Sunday!
Thanks for reading.
