Half Marathon and a Nor’easter?

I’m supposed to be running the Half at the Hamptons this Sunday, there is a potential for a classic Nor’easter blowing into New England for Saturday night into Sunday.  This could be VERY interesting. Stay Tuned! -Pete

2012 in Pictures

So, 2012 was a pretty darn good year.  I’ve got nothing to really complain about.  Yes, there are some things I wish I did do that I never got around to, but there were also things that happened that I never planned on doing…..So, here is a small review of 2012 in just 12 pictures.

Saucony Type A5 Review

I purchased the Saucony Type A5 back in May 2012 for road races.  I wanted something specifically for 5-10K racing.  I kept my Mizuno Waverider 15 for training. At 5.6oz these shoes are crazy light.  I cannot think of a  better way to describe them.

Bishop Brady Galloping Gobbler 2012

Every year Bishop Brady High School holds a Thanksgiving Day 4 miler.  It’s hard for me to turn down this race.  It starts early @ 9AM so you can go race and get home, and it is only like 3 miles from my house, so that makes it kind of a no brainer.

Sue Ann Martin 5K

Today Mia and I participated in the 3rd Annual Sue Ann Martin 5k.  Sue Ann’s husband Tom was my boss at one point when he was the state comptroller.  Sue Ann tragically died in 2010.  It was a total shock and completely unexpected.  Here is a woman who ran daily and was in great shape. …
